As part of the continued drive towards improved production efficiency and product quality development, the bmi group have committed to the construction of a state of the art blaster unit at their recently opened Granville factory facility.
The Blasting unit will recycle all shot blast and is designed to minimise dust, and noise pollution and with the addition of air filtration and dust extraction, create a safe and clean working environment. “The addition of the in-house blast facility will both improve our production process and significantly reduce our transportation costs in the sourcing of materials and sub-assemblies.” say Operations Manager Richard Ogle.
The facility is planned to start operation in Mid March and the company expect to be able to offer their spare capacity to other engineering companies in the region, and increase their truck and trailer refurbishment service as well.
